When I was wee we used to have a gas fire, and when the real Scottish winter would kick in my mum would say 'Joseph put the fire on' and I would know then that it was a hot water bottle under the foot end of the bed kind of night. This variegated reminds me of mum and her traditions and habits so it seemed right to name it this. Dyed on our signature dk, merino nylon blend make it a workhorse yarn for any project.
